2017年1月，国际奥委会宣布，因兴奋剂违规成立，取消中国代表团在Bj奥运会上的3枚金牌——陈燮霞的女子举重48公斤级金牌、刘春红的女子举重69公斤级金牌、曹磊的女子举重75公斤级金牌。

因此，中国在Bj奥运会上获得的金牌现在变为了48枚。

虽然取消了3枚金牌，但补发了1枚银牌，补发3枚铜牌，增减相抵后奖牌总数仍为100枚。

其中女子链球项目的铜牌获得者张文秀由铜牌变为银牌；女子铁饼的宋爱民、女子铅球的巩立姣、男子古典式摔跤60公斤级的盛江分别由原来的第四名变为铜牌。
